BETHEL
AFRICAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Ruth Missionary Society
The Ruth Missionary Society is the local organization of the Women’s Missionary Society African Methodist Episcopal Church; a part of the Michigan Conference Level. Our Mission Statement is: We are called to strengthen our faith and sent to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ by service and witness in the world.
The Purpose
As women called to discipleship to grow in knowledge and experience of God through Jesus Christ, committed to support the mission of the church, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are challenged to help one another engage in ministry and action, and grow and respond in faith to God’s redemptive plan for the church, the society, and the world.
We actively participate in Outreach Projects donating gift cards for Thanksgiving Day, provide winter outerwear for neighboring schools students, sponsor Baby Shower for Zeta Phi Beta’s Stork’s Nest Project assisting mothers with newborn babies clothing items, and promote the spirit of christian giving in our church and throughout the community. We welcome new members to join in this ministry. We meet the fourth Saturday at 11:00 am in the Church Parlor. For additional information, please contact Mildred Goodloe, President.
